We’d like to invite your church to join the “CUIP 2020 24/7” citywide prayer initiative for a year of unending worship and prayer as we gather as the collective Body of Christ to undergird our city with 24/7 prayer.

Each month, there will be scripture and prayer points here on the CUIP website as a launching point to your prayer meeting, as well as a short teaching on prayer from one of Chicago’s Pastors.

If you would like to sign your church up to do at least one hour of prayer each week, (or add your church’s current weekly prayer meeting) please fill out the form below. You will receive a follow up email giving you greater detail.

And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off?  I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

– Luke 18:7-8

We have expectant hearts that this prayer initiative will empower our intercession in an even greater way as we undergird this city with strategic intercession 24/7 all year long.

Please be encouraged and emboldened in your prayer meeting as we agree in faith for the “prayer points” that will be posted on the CUIP website at the beginning of each month. Each prayer point is only a springboard into praying what the Lord gives you during your prayer meeting.

  • Pray for an increase of unity and “likemindedness” to be released in our city. Ask for divine partnerships to take place all over Chicago.
  • Pray for deepened and new relationships to arise and a spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation to be released over the Church of Chicago.
  • Ask the Lord for a greater outpouring of His love on His people. Pray for a graciousness to be released on our hearts as we accept each other’s differences in a spirit of humility.

“Now may the God of patience and comfort GRANT YOU TO BE LIKE-MINDED toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, THAT YOU MAY WITH ONE MIND AND ONE MOUTH glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus.” (Rom. 15:5-7)

  • Pray for the release of apostolic ministry and that ministries would abound in love and holiness.
  • Pray that our hearts would be filled with faith as we minister to the needs of this city. Ask the Lord to release a greater grace to believe Him for miracles.
  • Pray for those who are ministering on the streets to the homeless, that they would be blameless in holiness in their walk before the Lord.

“…we rejoice for your sake before our God, night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith? Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you. And may the Lord make you increase and ABOUND IN LOVE to one another and to all…so that He may ESTABLISH YOUR HEARTS BLAMELESS IN HOLINESS before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.” (1 Thes. 3:9-13)

Chicago Public Schools

  • Pray for teachers and students to have a revelation of Jesus’ beauty and their destiny unto transforming of their heart. Ask the Lord to open their eyes to the hope of their calling in Jesus Christ.
  • Pray for the safety of staff, students, bus drivers, volunteers, kitchen, cafeteria staff etc.
  • Pray for the release of boldness and great power in believing students.  Pray that they would arise and lead many others to Jesus.

“…the Father of glory, may give to you the SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the HOPE OF HIS CALLING, what are the riches of the GLORY OF HIS INHERITANCE IN THE SAINTS, and what is the exceeding GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TOWARD US…” (Eph. 1:17-19)
